The kids have school off today for Good Friday. I think it's a great idea!
McKinley got to go with the Senior Primary kids in the stake on a bus to the Manhattan Temple. The temple president spoke with them, and they ate lunch at the meetinghouse there. The bus left the city late, (by over an hour), so I took the boys into New Canaan to get a treat. Hayden chose a cupcake and Sawyer chose Red Mango. Hayden ate about 3 bites and saved the rest. Sawyer ate all the toppings off his frozen yogurt and then declared he doesn't really like frozen yogurt. I ordered a skim milk, but that is of course the one thing the boys actually polished off!
Oh well, that's motherhood.
It was a good start to a lovely Easter weekend.
