And finally...

It's Josh's turn to go back to school. I finally remembered to take a picture of one of the kids in their masks. School this year looks a bit different. They have to wear masks all day. Their is increased attention to hand washing. Teacher's have put up plexiglass around their desks to guard from germs. The desks are all facing forward and spaced as much as possible. No mixing with other classes. "Rotation" consist of the specialist coming to the individual classroom and working their instead of kids moving around. No volunteers in the classroom. No sharing supplies. Morning line ups are marked out and distanced from each other.

Josh chose this shirt especially to remind others to stay 6 feet apart from him.

 

The Next first day

Today Hayden gets to go back to school!

He's a big 8th grader now. Literally. He's getting so tall!

 

First day of school finally!

 Oof it's been a long break. We left school in March, and now we are finally returning to in-person learning! Yay!  I hope this lasts more than 2 weeks! First up for back to school is McKinley and Sawyer.

It's McKinley's Senior year and Sawyer's first year at the high school. It will be nice to have them ride to and from school together.

Football

Sawyer decided to try tack football this year with his buddies. He had a great time. He played mostly defensive end and back up kicker.

Josh wanted to try something new. He said yes to golf lessons this year. He had a fun time!

 

Mary Poppins

Grandma and Grandpa couldn't use their tickets (too risky right now) so they let us use them to see Mary Poppins. They did not space out the people, but the people right next to us did end up moving to different seats so it wasn't as bad then. 

The play was fun and Josh liked it.
