Jogathon

Josh had his jogathon for his 5th grade year. He would try to play it cool like he didn't know me when he ran past.  

He got to join the Breakfast of Champions as a reward for donating a certain amount of money.

Almost the Mighty Five

 McKinley planned a whirlwind National Park trip for us to hit a few of the parks. We hit all of the Mighty Five minus Bryce Canyon because we already did that one recently, and we added on the Grand Canyon. 

We left on Thursday with just McKinley and Josh. Sawyer had work and Hayden had no interest. We weren't up for the fight to make him go hiking every day.

   Sept 22nd- Canyonlands

Our first stop was at Canyonlands National Park. We haven't ever been there as a family. I'm not even sure I've been there as a child! It was beautiful!

Tonight we drove over to Capitol Reef to spend the night and get into the park earlier in the morning.

We hiked a smidge of the way up the Narrows

We left in the evening and drove the 2 hours to the Grand Canyon for the night

Sept 25th- Grand Canyon North Rim

We had to be up early for our mule ride.

A bit of a wildfire in the forest on our way out, but luckily no roads were closed.

Josh's soccer team got to join the pre-game festivities on the field tonight. They were in the tunnel to give 5's to the team. They also got to join the parade out onto the field before we watched the game.
