Crazy Hair day

We remembered last minute about crazy hair day today. They wanted colorful hair today. Even Josh insisted on getting in on the action!

Love Day!

McKinley woke up to a fun surprise from a cute boy! Oooo!

Josh's blessed preschool teacher had them decorate buckets at school

Hayden's valentine box is Pikachu this year.

And Sawyer was not in the mood for pictures, but his box was a fuzzy monster with sharp white teeth.

Na na na na na na na na Batman!

Our last day of a 4 week winter off track break. We treated ourselves to the Lego Batman movie! The boys loved, I thought it was funny, and Kent thought it was boring. Oh well.

Special Witness

The boys were undressed and eating lunch long before I remembered to take Sunday pictures. Since McKinley had a Beehive meeting she is the only one to get in the picture this week. She had a great and unique experience today at church. Our ward's bishopric was reorganized today. The new 2nd counselor had to be ordained as a high priest. He is the grandson of President Nelson, so Pres. Nelson came to ordain him. He came in afterward to talk to and meet the YW. He bore his testimony to them of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. She said that "as soon as he walked into the room you could feel the Holy Ghost. As he bore his testimony on Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon you could see him lighting up with joy."

Fashion backward

I had to document this kid's fashion sense. He wouldn't hold still for the pictures. He was embarrassed. But this captures Hayden perfectly at this point in his life. After church or any time he dresses down to relax, this is what it looks like. Pajama pants, t-shirt inside out and backwards, one sock on and one sock off.

Luckily he's getting a little better dressing himself for school at least!

Josh wasn't embarrassed. He wanted me to take his picture.

The library hosted a wildlife program today. I remembered in the nick of time! Sawyer opted to stay home with Kent, but the rest of us had fun. We saw a fox, hedgehog, pig, boa constrictor, ringtail, iguana, skunk, rabbit. Our favorite was the fox.

On the way home we saw a news truck and a "free soda" sign in the Sodalicious window. We stopped to check it out and got free soda treats! Yay free!

Leatherby's

January was a sugar/treat free self-imposed month for me. I wanted my first sugar to be delicious. While Josh was at school and Hayden went to a friend's house, I took Sawyer with me to Leatherby's. It was Sawyer's first time, and he was very impressed. He couldn't even finish his ice cream. On the way home he told me it was the first time he's ever been full!
