Bookshelves

We took the bookshelves that Kent's work was getting rid of, and painted and installed them in our office.

 

Merry Christmas

This is the first year of all non-believers in our house :(  So it was a little different this year. We were all finally ready to open presents around 8:30 am. The boys all chose one more expensive gift instead of more quantity of presents. So opening didn't take too long. McKinley was the star of the show opening all her clothes.

After presents we went to the movie theater to watch Wonder Woman. It started at 11 and we got out at 2. Everyone's consensus was that the movie was very long. But it was good to get out and do something together. 

 

Christmas Eve

We had an afternoon Zoom Christmas call with Korth's to watch each other open the exchange gifts. 

No family gatherings this year, so we had Christmas Eve dinner at Outback this year. We invited grandma and grandpa Korth to join us. 

And that was our Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Star

Tonight was the winter solstice, and the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that they are calling the Christmas Star. This particular conjunction hasn't occurred in over 800 years. 

These are a few shots from my phone. In one of them you are able to see a few of Jupiter's moons.

 

Hot Cocoa Bombs

Tonight's advent activity was hot cocoa bombs, which are all the rage this year. I ordered some from a lady in Herriman. They were fun to see explode.

 

Football banquet

Tonight Sawyer's football team was able to finally hold their awards banquet. They went to Boondock's and played for a couple of hours before the ceremony with the coaches.
