Mountains

It has been a beautiful, unseasonably warm Fall so far. Although the picture doesn't do it justice, the sunset on these mountains with the moon was just a moment of hygge.

It's time!

Halloween is over. Time for Christmas! Since we have a fake tree now, I can put it up as early as I'd like!

Pumpkin patch

Looks like it's just us two. Josh didn't want to go to the pumpkin patch this year. As always, Mabey farm is picturesque at sunset.

RSL motherlode

McKinley currently works for the Miller groups RSL division. They get rid of their merchandise and the end of the season to make room for new. McKinley brought home this giant haul so I could donate it to my work. It actually was nearly all taken in a matter of 2-3 days.

End of the season

It was a beautiful end to the growing season. The dahlias went out with a bang and I found a new-to-me beauty in Lisianthus.

I brought the last of the flowers in just in time for a frost to hit and turn the plant foliage dark.

Then I spent the day digging up the tubers for next year.

Can't wait to see them again!

Small moments

Out for a morning walk, passing a cute little farm with a beautiful cloud burst.

On a different walk with Shelley on a Saturday we were treated to a rainbow. It's the little things sometimes.

Tomatoes...finally

After an entire summer with only green tomatoes, I finally got a crop of red tomatoes!

I roasted them and made them into a roasted tomato basil soup. After straining it due to the skins on the tomatoes, it turned out a bit thin. Next year I need to deskin them before I put them in the blender to keep the thickness of the soup.
