Turning 12!

We celebrated Hayden with lunch at Panda Express and dinner at Outback. He ordered homemade fondant for his birthday cake when I got back from Boston. He got money and a hamster he named Chestnut for his birthday.

Pine View

We took the boat out for it's first run of the season finally. It's been such a chilly, rainy spring that we haven't been able to before this. We went to Pine View and luckily there were only about 5 other boats out. The snow capped mountains were pretty amazing.

End of school Snowcone

We went to Hokulia Snow Cones to celebrate the end of school. They were yummy and pretty decent compared to the Hawaii shaved ice, but it just isn't the same without Hawaii. We'd better go back.

Lisa Falls

This is a quick hike up Little Cottonwood, so I knew these kids wouldn't be able to complain about hiking this time! And then there was the promise of Los Hermanos afterwards. Food always helps.

St. George

Kent got to go down to St. George for business again this year. We tagged along for a free vacation! It was unusually chilly down there. But we made the most of it and did plenty of swimming in the pool anyway!

Monday: Snow Canyon is one of our favorite spots to go. They wouldn't do any hikes willingly today though, so we just played at the sand dunes.

On Tuesday I made everyone go to Zion's National Park. I know, so mean. How horrible to have to go to one of the most beautiful places on earth. They complained, a lot. And I was the only one to bring a sweatshirt, which I lent to McKinley, so most people were a little chilly.

On Wednesday we went to the movies while we waited for Kent to finish off his work day. Then we went to Pioneer Park to hang out a while we waited.

Sweet Sixteen

The day she's been waiting for! Sweet Sixteen!

After school we went straight to the DMV and got her license.

We picked up some "16" balloons for a little birthday photo shoot.

For her birthday we surprised her with a trip to Boston. She cried. It was the best.

For her birthday "party" she got to take some friends (thanks to Groupon) to the Lantern fest out in Grantsville. I planned on dropping them off, but traffic was one way only, so I got to pay for parking and sit in the parking lot until it was over. She's lucky I love her!

Spring Soccer

Josh took a break from soccer this fall, and then jumped back into it this spring. He always resists going, but then has a great time running around and being "fast".
