Here we come BYU!

Hayden had his District Science Fair this week. He did a great job and is now advancing to the Central Utah Science Fair at BYU now! 

He's excited to miss a whole day of school.

Something's in the air

First, McKinley had the "flu" and missed a week of school.

Next, Sawyer bit the bug and was out of school for a week.

Hayden ended up with strep while he was off track, and then he got the "bug" and missed about half a week of school.

Josh has been on and off with illness. Here a day or two, there a day of two. Coughs, fevers, chills, earaches. Aaaagh!

Kent, yep, him too. Flu symptoms for about a week, then a diagnosed strep.

I've got to get out of here, quick!

Ice Breaker Tournament

McKinley is playing competition soccer this year. President's weekend we headed to St. George for the Ice Breaker tournament. It was going to be me and all the kids, but we waited too long to book a room. We finally found perhaps the last hotel room in St. George with just one bed. So McKinley and I had a girl's weekend. It turned out to be good for the boys too, who were either in the midst of sickness, or just getting over it.

The last game was in the snow. Brr!

Volleyball time

Hayden's in the midst of his winter volleyball season. This year his team did...not so great. But he was happy and having fun every time!

Man of Science

Hayden entered the 5th/6th grade Science Fair while he was off track. His experiment was testing whether the idling in the carpool lane really did make a difference. His pollution monitor and data collecting told us that it does make a difference.

He ended up with 1st place in 5th grade for his school.

Way to go Hayden!!

Escher

I took these two boys to the Escher exhibit that is down at BYU while they are off track.

One day I'll learn to just go by myself.

They wouldn't stand by each other in the LOVE picture, so I had to get separate pictures.

Stuck

This chicken flew the coop. Then proceeded to get stuck in the deep snow. Ha  ha! We rescued her, don't worry.
