Lichetenstein

Lichtenstein

After Switzerland we drove to Lichtenstein to stay the night.

Gutenberg Castle

Just in time for a soft, beautiful sunset

We drove up the winding streets on the side of the mountain to our cute little hotel. Right across the street was a charming church bell.

Switzerland

Switzerland

Jungfrau region-
Staubbach Falls
Mt. First
Trummelbach Falls
Lake Brienzersee

Kent and I took a trip over to Europe to meet up with McKinley after her study abroad and see a few countries.

After a quick connecting flight from Amsterdam, we landed in Geneva, got our rental car and drove to the Jungfrau region of Swizerland.

We hiked up Staubbach Falls, ate dinner in the little town, and then went to our hotel for the night.

We got up bright and early in the morning to get to Mt. First in Grindelwald.

We bought the 3-activity pass for the day. We rode the gondola up and did the cliff walk first while the other activities were still closed.

Up near the Cliff walk was an open meadow area with beautiful vistas and people parasailing.

After the cliff walk we got in line for the Zip gliders.

One of my favorite parts of Switzerland were the cows and their beautiful bells chiming.

After the zipline, we headed straight over to the Mountain Coasters line. We stood in this line for an hour. Luckily the views were amazing. It was so sunny and warm for us that I got sunburned.

Glaciers

The Mountain Coasters take you to an area where you can either walk the rest of the way down the mountain or take the Trotty bikes (stand up bikes). We took the bikes. They took more skill, in my opinion, than a regular bike. Once again, the views were amazing on the ride down!

After we got down the mountain and returned our bikes, we got an ice cream cone to cool down. Then we drove over to Trummelback Falls, which is a series of 10 waterfalls inside of a mountain.

After the Falls, we made a little jaunt over to see the Lake spot from Crash Landing on Me (a K-drama). It was on Lake Brienzersee. It was a beautiful aqua glacial lake.

The "pier" spot from the Kdrama is now a pay-to-stand spot. So we gave it a glance and then went to eat dinner. However, at the place we ate, they gave Kent a free token to stand on the pier with the meal he ordered. So we went back and had McKinley go stand on the spot.

After dinner we drove a couple of hours to get to our hotel for the night in Lichtenstein.

New Driver

After he refused to bring his glasses, and then failed the eye test, then returned back with his glasses, Hayden got his drivers license! Are we ready? No. Is he ready? Not really. But here we go.

Lobstah

Hayden took two online classes this Summer. I told him if he got them done before July started I'd take him for a lobster. So he did it!

Colonoscopy

We’ve hit that age. Kent is getting his first colonoscopy!
