Broken

Well, he did it again. Sawyer broke his arm this time. He fell and caught himself with his arms out and broke the bone. This kid needs to drink more milk.

 

Valley of Fire

Valley of Fire State Park is only about an hour from our hotel in Mesquite, so I forced McKinley to go. She was not the most enthusiastic hiking partner, so maybe one day I'll go back with a more willing hiker.

I thought there was some cool landscape and petroglyphs though.

Mesquite tournament

McKinley had a President's Cup tournament this weekend in Mesquite. The boys were not interested in going so it was just McKinley and I. They lost 3 tournament games. Won by forfeit their 'consolation game', and then won the scrimmage against the '05 Glory team. 

Braces off!!

It's been 3 1/2 years, but today Sawyer finally got his braces off! There's no 'after' pic yet because he has to go back for his gum contouring still. I'll show the results after that.

Spelling Bee

Josh was one of the class champions to compete in the 2nd grade Spelling Bee. He made it to 5th place this year, but got out on "walnut" spelling it "wallnut". He was a good sport when he got out though because he knew he tried his best.

Sweethearts

Tonight was girl's choice Sweetheart's Dance. McKinley was rocking her newly brown hair!

Snow Day

We got a snow day today! The front yard snow measured at 11 inches at one point!
