Fall Break

For Fall break we went to Lake Powell. McKinley had to be back on Saturday morning for a mandatory training for her volunteer program at the aquarium, so we went from Sunday-Friday. We were joined by Grandma and Grandpa Korth for the week, and the Palmers on Wednesday-Friday.

 Thursday was chilly and windy, so we went to Rainbow Bridge monument that day.

We also drove through Antelope Canyon on the water too. It was beautiful!

And while the temperature is a little cooler than summer, there are virtually zero boats on the water, so it’s worth it!

Fall fun

Josh is off track, so we get to take fun day trips to enjoy fall! We tried Schmidt's today. Being buried in the corn was the highlight.

Cosmo was at our orthodontist appointment today!

Pumpkin Patch

Grandma and Grandpa were able to invite us to a pumpkin patch outing that was being held. We each got a free pumpkin, donuts, and drinks.

As you can tell from the picture below, Josh was still angry because he couldn't sit in front on the way over. Luckily he simmered down after pulling the wagon through the patch for a while.

Birthday boy!

Josh is 8 years old today! On Saturday he got to go to Airborne for a friend's birthday party. This year was his year to have his own party, but we also give the option to just get extra birthday money in lieu of a party. Josh chose the extra money.

Saturday night we went to dinner at Outback. Sunday morning he opened his presents before church. He got a Titanic "lego" (off brand) set, a Titanic book (he's interested in the Titanic right now), and a couple Roblox figures. A few days later he used his extra birthday money at Bricks and Mini Figs to get a Guardians of the Galaxy Lego Space Ship.

Reflections

The kids wanted to enter the Reflections contest this year. The theme is "Look Within". I thought they might like to try to make a print of the inside of a tree trunk. It was a fun first try, and we learned a few things from our mistakes.

Halloween Party

Josh goes off track next Wednesday, so today was his class Halloween party. I am the "room mom" so I got to organize it. They played games, made a couple crafts, and ate donuts and witches brew apple juice. Josh, luckily, wore his T-Rex costume from last year. Yay!
