9th grade awards

We got a letter in the mail that McKinley was a recipient of an award for 9th grade. She ended up with a medal for 4.0 all three years, and another for being VP of NJHS.

St. George work trip

Kent had to go to St. George for work, so we tagged along for the free hotel and swimming. We ended up in Estancia Resort instead of the usual Las Palmas, and it was great!

We left Sunday after church and stayed until Wednesday after Kent's work.

We had lots of fun swimming, watching the new Avengers movie, hiking, and bowling while Kent worked. 

We went to Zion's NP after a full day of swimming. The parking is nuts until after 4:30 pm, so we waited until then.

On Wednesday, after bowling, we tried the Red Cliffs Nature trail hike that leads to a little waterfall. Unfortunately the waterfall was dry, so there was a small stagnant pool full of tadpoles at the end. Instead we sat in the shade of a canyon and played in the sand before hiking back out.

Temple Celebration

We got to enjoy the Jordan River temple celebration downtown.

Happy 15th!

The birthday girl requested crepes for her birthday breakfast. She got checked out from school to celebrate her birthday. We went to Leatherby's. She really wanted to ride the mall animals on her birthday so we did. She got to do some shopping on her birthday. She asked for a new bedspread and decor pillows for her room for her birthday presents. And of course she got a giant Costco birthday cake!

Barber

Someone cut his own hair today. 

Last soccer game?

McKinley has played competition soccer this year. She's thinking she is done with soccer and moving on now. So tonight was her last soccer game. She ALMOST got a goal!

More importantly to McKinley today though, was the fact that she finally got her braces off! 4 long years of braces are over!

Cello boy

It was Hayden's final concert of the year. He was excited to be done.
