Lisa Falls

We are off track for 3 weeks. This first week we have been hanging out, riding bikes, playing outside (while I weed), riding the mall train, getting new shoes, and playing the computer. Today I made them go on a hike with me to earn more computer time. Hayden was willing for more computer time, but Josh was still so angry to be forced to go.

Once we got out of the car though, they were all smiles and adventures! It is a very short hike to a water fall, Lisa Falls in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was a great first hike! We only left so soon because Hayden fell in the stream and got all wet.

They're actually excited to go on another hike next week!

Off track

Trying to get out of the house during off track time. We went to the mall and rode the train! It was actually more fun than we expected. We finished it off with pretzel bites.

Last Pinewood derby

This was Hayden's last Pinewood derby, and with the change in the church scouting program, it may be our whole family's last derby!

Hayden sent us out with a bang and pulled off a 2nd place overall win!

Sunday best

It was Easter clothes Sunday today. Here are most of the kids in some new duds. Josh tore off his bow tie by the end and refused to let me put it back on for the picture. Hayden's bow tie kept coming halfway off, so he looks a bit disheveled. And Sawyer was off doing fast offerings so he is missing from the picture completely!

Shoe covers

Our shoe cover shift for the youth at the temple open house was today from 2-6. Afterwards the YW went to eat ice cream and sugar. Sawyer left for a deacon overnighter at a cabin and then proceeded to stay up all night with some other boys playing video games until 6 am!

Spring Break

It's spring break, but we're staying around here, so McKinley talked me into a trip to the aquarium. We haven't been there for a couple years. Josh wanted to cross the bridge, but I wasn't allowed to cross with them because he was sure that I would break it :(

We went during the family night $5 discount, so it was very crowded unfortunately. 

Easter

Happy Easter!

It was also conference Sunday, so we woke up around 9 something to hunt for our eggs outside. When we were done we watched the first session of conference before getting ready and heading over to Korth's to visit and eat crepes.

After the afternoon session was over we went over to Van Leeuwen's for another egg hunt and dinner.

I haven't posted about it yet, but we recently got 4 bunnies, so McKinley made sure I got an Easter picture with hers (Ollie).
