Josh got some legos for Christmas. After he made us build it according to instructions, he has decided to make his own creations. I hope he decides to be a regular Lego man now.

Project 365
One of my resolutions this year is to 'create' more. As part of that I decided to do project 365 where you take a picture each day. Yes, I already missed day two, but I'm going to keep trying!
This morning the kids went back to school, and Josh finally decided to venture out in the snow. Sadie loves playing in the snow. So my picture today was of this boy and his dog, adventuring.
This evening I took the older kids to the Utah Symphony. We got tickets for Christmas to their performance of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone. They all enjoyed it far more than they thought they would. The movie is played in it's entirety minus the music, while the symphony plays every bit of music live. Cheers and booing of the characters was encouraged so it was too hoity toity for the kids. At intermission we got a treat. Hayden chose a chocolate frog! There first full length symphony was a success!
Josh stayed at work with Kent watching Secret Life of Pets and eating candy, so he had a good night too.

Happy New Year
Blessed day, our church has finally switched to 11:00. We've been at 9:00 for about 2 and a half years!
On New Year's Eve drank our sparkling cider, McKinley spent the evening at Sydney's, Josh went to bed around 9, and the rest of us watched Avatar (the longest movie in the world!) while we waited up for McKinley to come home.

Merry Christmas
We slept in until 8:00! Our church is at 9:00, so we decided to wait until afterwards to open presents. I let them open their stockings once their church clothes were on. Church was only an hours worth of a lovely Choir program, then back home for breakfast and presents.
We played with presents, watched a couple new movies, and were unexpectedly an hour late to the Van Leeuwen family party. Oops. More presents and food there, and then home to bed!
Gift highlights this year:
McKinley: clothes, ukelele, polaroid camera.
Sawyer: clothes, Nintendo 2 DS, Pokemon game, ukelele, skateboard.
Hayden: clothes, Nintendo 2 DS, Pokemon game, drone, plasma ball.
Joshua: clothes, Nintendo 2 DS, Pokemon game, airplane, Paw Patrol.

Christmas Eve
We went to the Korth Christmas Eve party around 1:00 this year. Every one in our family got better and were able to attend. We had a turkey dinner feast, then opened up presents. Around dinner tie we came home, so Kent picked up some pizza on the way home. We watched a Christmas Story, ate pizza, and opened Christmas jammies. Then the kids had a sleepover downstairs. Except Sawyer, he slept in his room because he didn't want to sleep on the floor.

Visiting St. Nick
He was a little nervous at first, but eventually sat on his lap. He has been a good boy this year, and asked for cars and trains. He got a candy cane from Santa's bag. I think this is my first child to sit on Santa's lap.
