Wheeler Farm

Josh and I explored Wheeler Farm today. I think it was his first time there. I think his favorite part was throwing rocks in the lake. I was trying to sneak in some pictures because his family picture session didn't yield any good individual shots of him.  Most of them turned into his concentrated, fake smile like this...

But once in a blue moon I found the real smile.

Baking!

Josh wanted to use his oven last night after his birthday, but we didn't get back from dinner until after 9. Today he made a little after school snack for the boys. 

Birthday Boy

This cute boy turned 5 years old!  He's been counting down the days until today for months! He didn't want anything special for breakfast, but he got a happy meal with chicken nuggets for lunch. His favorite! He took a little treat to share at preschool too. We opened presents when all the kids were home from school, and daddy came home early. He got an easy bake oven (that he asked for). It's a masculine looking one. Some 5 year old clothes and a little lego set. He used some birthday money to buy cars at the store too. The evening had a couple of soccer games that didn't get over until after 6:30. He wanted everyone to eat macaroni and cheese for dinner, but we talked him into going to Red Robin for a birthday dinner. Bad idea. They were short staffed that night so we didn't get out of the restaurant until 9:00. He was exhausted!

Planting bulbs

McKinley and I joined the RS down on temple square to help plant flowers and bulbs. The weather was perfect, and the temple was lovely as we finished.

Fall fun

We visited a few pumpkin patches around town.

Josh at Schmidt's pumpkin patch. He loved the 'corn' box. There was also a big playground, maze and farm animals. We visited before they started charging. 

We got to feed the baby cows, goats, and even alpacas!
