SeaWorld

Kent made McKinley's dreams come true today and took us all to SeaWorld. She wants to be a Marine mammal veterinarian when she grows up, so she was in heaven! There were rides to go on as well. It was not crowded today and not very big, so we didn't feel like we had to rush around all day to get our money's worth. 

On the way back to the hotel we stopped by the San Diego temple to get another schedule card for McKinley. This temple was beautiful! The stain glass windows all down one side of the building were gorgeous!

Swimming

The kids swam for hours at the hotel pool today. Sawyer made a little friend and they spent most of their time passing the football in the pool.

I made them go across the street to the actual beach for a couple hours against their will. Poor kids. Then we came back to the hotel pool and hot tub. 

Here was our view of the sunset from the hot tub. Oh, I could get used to that view!

Huntington Beach

We found out that Kent's boss was actually booked at a different Hyatt...that was on the beach front. It was gorgeous. So we switched. That meant we had to be hotel-less from 1:00 until Kent was done with work. The kids swam in the Newport hotel for a couple hours, then we packed up and went to find our new hotel in Huntington Beach. There is a walkway literally connecting the hotel to the beach front. Lovely.

We stayed at the beach until about 5:00. It was a little chilly...for a SoCal beach. We definitely used our sweatshirts.

After the beach we drove to the Newport temple for McKinley who is collecting temple schedule cards for YW. It was a pretty little temple, made all the more charming by the darling mommy and baby rabbit munching on the grass outside. 

Work vacation

Kent had to work in California again so we drove down to take advantage of the warmer weather.

We took a little break on the bluff in St. George. (Someone likes selfies a little too much).

We picked Kent up from the Long Beach Airport around 10:30 pm that night and drove to our hotel in Newport.

Jr Jazz season

It's been a crazy Jr. Jazz season for Sawyer. We started off pretty well, with a hard working team and 3 wins. After the Christmas break, and league reorganization, things got less even. They worked their little tails off though! And of course he had lots of fun.

Lola

I caved and let McKinley buy a hedgehog with her money. It's pretty cute though. And a little smelly.

Bad guy
