Tiny Soccer

Nothing is quite as adorable as watching this kid play soccer.  He was so excited to be a real soccer player this year.  He calls his hair cut his 'soccer hair'.  He loves his #5 jersey.  He has a great coach who makes practice lots of fun for the kids. Glad he's having fun!

Soccer Season

Soccer season has begun!  Good-bye Saturdays!  Sawyer says his favorite position right now is midfield.  His team is the Camo Killers.  (Not his idea, thankfully).

Middle school

We have ventured into the world of middle school!  McKinley has been so excited to start.  Her first day did not disappoint.  She is loving it.  Although she does report daily about any bad language she hears.  I wish we could keep her innocent forever.

Back to school boys

It's the first day of school for the boys today!

Sawyer is starting 5th grade.

Hayden is starting 3rd grade

They wanted me to drop them off and pick them up today.  First day of school is so fun.

End of Summer

Summer is at an end for us. We made a poster of things we wanted to do over the summer.  Most we did, and some we did not.  Here are the things we did in our short 6 week summer break:  Jurassic World, tennis lessons, cub country, boating, salamanders, bike ride, snowcones, 7-11 day, math camp, star gazing, 7 peaks, bed (that was my idea), Girl's camp, rec center, library, camping, mountains, late night, back to school shopping, ice cream.

Now back to school!

Birthday time

Today was Sawyer's (and my) birthday.  It happened to be Grandma and Grandpa Korth's p-day too, so we could go boating before school starts.
They took the three oldest up early in the morning to go fishing.  Then Josh and I met up with them for some boating and tubing.  We were expecting a storm to roll in around 1:00, but it never materialized, and we ended up staying until 3:30.

We all had a blast!  One of our favorite summer traditions!

Jammin'

McKinley decided to hone her culinary skills for a personal progress goal. She spent the afternoon making homemade raspberry jam. Yum!
